Our Materials

Natural
Stone

Formed over millions of years beneath the earth’s surface, natural stone is an unrepeatable material. No two slabs are alike. No pattern is ever duplicated. Each piece carries its own geological signature — movement, colour and depth that cannot be manufactured.

Stone Types
Igneous / Metamorphic

Marble

The most expressive of natural stones. Marble forms when limestone is subjected to extreme heat and pressure, creating its characteristic veining and translucency. Available in white, grey, green, black and rare coloured varieties.

Origins: Italy, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Portugal
Metamorphic

Quartzite

Harder than granite and more durable than marble, quartzite offers dramatic veining with exceptional resistance to heat and scratching. A premium choice for high-use surfaces where both beauty and performance are required.

Origins: Brazil, USA, India, Norway
Metamorphic

Onyx

The most dramatic of all natural stones. Onyx is formed in cave systems and carries translucent properties that allow it to be backlit. Each slab is entirely unique and typically reserved for feature applications.

Origins: Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Mexico
Sedimentary

Limestone

A warm, understated stone with a soft, matte texture. Limestone is formed from compressed marine sediment and offers a natural, organic aesthetic suited to flooring, wall cladding and outdoor applications.

Origins: France, Turkey, Israel, Portugal
Sedimentary

Travertine

Formed by mineral-rich spring waters, travertine has a distinctive porous texture and warm tonal variation. It has been used in architecture for thousands of years and remains a timeless choice for both interior and exterior use.

Origins: Italy, Turkey, Iran, Peru
Igneous

Granite

The most durable of all natural stones. Granite is an intrusive igneous rock with exceptional hardness, making it ideal for kitchen surfaces and high-traffic flooring. Available in a wide range of colours and patterns.

Origins: Brazil, India, South Africa, Norway

How natural stone
is selected

Every slab we supply is individually inspected. We do not sell from samples — we sell from photographs and, where possible, in-person viewing of the exact material being specified.

Natural variation is not a defect. It is the defining characteristic of the material. Our role is to help you understand that variation and select accordingly.

We work with quarries and importers across Italy, Brazil, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Portugal and South Africa to maintain access to the broadest possible range of material.

Care & maintenance
of natural stone

Natural stone requires appropriate care to preserve its appearance. Most stones benefit from sealing at installation and periodically thereafter, depending on use and stone type.

Marble and limestone are sensitive to acidic substances. Quartzite and granite offer greater chemical resistance. Onyx requires careful maintenance and is best suited to low-traffic areas.

We provide care guidance for every installation we complete. Our restoration and polishing service is available for existing stone that requires attention.
